Never a dull moment...

El had another mowing lesson.  Funny how the lesson

went on just long enough to mow the entire lawn.

 She really tricked Pa, didn't she?!

 We met up with my best bud Amy for lunch at Los Compadres!

 El worked on her artistic skills.  She drew,

 and drew,

 and drew!   Well done, El!

 I wonder if the magazine over the face helps him dream of Hotrods???

We also ran off the the Mall one afternoon.
Eva found a play spot she rather enjoyed!

Happy Father's Day!

We started the day with a call to Daddy back in Texas!  

Had to tell him where to find his gifts.

Next came Pa opening some gifts.  

 Kathryn planned a day at the club with swimming,

golf, and games.  And Ohio weather did not cooperate!

The kids still played some of the indoor games available.

 We had a yummy lunch and some family photos!

And my water was automatically refilled!!!

 I think both Dads had a great day!!

It's not summer without Waldemeer Park!

 For some reason I have no pictures from the waterslides

we did in the first part of the day!  I guess the camera

was safely in the locker:)  Probably a wise decision.

A Day at Geneva on the Lake

 After leaving Rocky River we moved east to spend some time

 in Ashtabula with Gramma Pat and Pa.  Heather, Lilly, and 

Graham came out to spend a great afternoon at GOTL!

 We started with some time on the beach.  The kids 

had a great time exploring and building things in the sand.

 And along comes Heather.  

She had to take an important call and joined us when

she had a moment!

 Then we were off to the arcade for some air hockey!

Cleveland Aquarium

 Next, a day trip to the Cleveland Aquarium!

 Lolo finds her favorite- a turtle!

Rocky River continued...

We took a bike ride with family and neighbors.  It took awhile to get organized but then we had some fun.  Eva and I ended up on the tandem bike.  She did not think I kept the bike "straight up" enough!

 The next day was off to the pool! Eva and Aunt Kathryn played and played and played!

 Smile!

 This pool had all the bells and whistles!  Slides, fountains, playspaces...

After all that... I needed a nap!

Rocky River time

Our time in north central Ohio started with a 

Cornell party.  Now I have been working on getting

Everyone to go to University of Texas or to move to 

Austin soon.  However, the reverse seems to be

happening.  Now El expresses an interest in Cornell!

Nothing says vacation like... A trip to the ER!!!

 Eva's big toe swelled up to the size of a sausage!

I was concerned and found that my only option

(due to insurance) was to visit the ER.  So here

it Eva, clearly traumatized, at the ER to check out

her BIG big toe.  

 The doctor told us it was nothing to worry about.

Gave her Motrin and sent us on our way.  I had the

Mommy intuition that we were not in the clear.

 I took her to her rheumatologist when we returned

home.  Sadly, she has Psoriatic Arthritis.  Luckily she

responds well to treatment.

MOVIE NIGHT!

We got lucky... the movies we wanted to see were
