Happy New Year!

We stayed home for New Years this year. El had Jessica and Mallory over for a sleepover. Eva enjoyed hanging with the big girls!
She is off to find some more "fun things".
The big girls were the only ones to see midnight (and beyond). I believe they finally went to sleep some time around 3:30am. Eva and I watched the ball drop... which in Texas is 11:00pm. Todd did not make it that long.
Charlie's Angels?
I peeked in on the sleeping beauties and found them all sound asleep. However, in their sleep they had positions that made them look like this pose. I told them about it when they woke up, but of course they had no idea what I was talking about. So a short internet image search and they were brought up to speed. Thus...this picture as a reminder. I went to get the camera while they were asleep but was detained and they woke before I could get the sleeping version.

Lily's Birthday

Lily is our neighbor's granddaughter and has become one of Eva's best friends.
These pictures are of her 5th birthday party which is a carnival theme.

The kids are playing games to earn tickets.

Then they turn in the tickets to win prizes!

Houston Trip

Chloe and El dress Eva up into a beautiful bride.

The girls and I took a quick trip into Houston to see friends and wish Rex and Jim Happy Birthday!
Eva was the official photographer and videographer with her iTouch.
How do you like her pink hair?
El and Jim. El didn't realize we were taking the picture.
Rex is listening to my story as Eva shoots. Do you think I was interesting???

And That is the End of 2010

How quickly the year has passed by. It was filled with fun and laughter. I find now that I am one of those old ladies who can't remember how old they are or what year it is. But then again, does it really matter? I am really only as old as I feel... which most days is a fairly pleasing age. The two sweethearts in the picture keep me young and make me old at the same time!

Wishing you all of the best in 2011!

Christmas at Sea World!

We went to Sea World once again!
For the holidays, they decorate the whole park and change up some of the shows to be Christmas themed. Below is one of Eva's favorite spots... The Candy Cane Forest!
This gingerbread house smelled of peppermint...yum! It was the entrance to the forest and every hour an elf would come by and hand out candy canes.
El in the forest.
Eva showin' the love!
Wishful thinking:)
Eva in the snow.
In a few parts of the park they had snow machines. Eva loved playing in the snow! It was at least 70 degrees the day we attended.
Eva rests in the forest. I didn't think we were ever going to get her to move on.
The girls with Elmo! Elmo is a nickname given to El from her besties.
Eva and Zoie. Behind this fence was Shamu's Happy Harbor (fun for the younger kids). Next year it will be a Sesame Street themed play area. Eva is excited to see the new space!
This picture is for Pat and Pa!
The cowboy snowman.
The girls were able to pose with the characters from the Sesame Street holiday show. These happen to be the characters of El and her friends. El is Elmo, Mallory is Big Bird, and Jessica is Cookie Monster. We were supposed to sign up before the show. I did not know this. So we go down to the end of the line and the girl approached us and asked us if we were on the list. I replied that we were not but was it possible to get a picture taken. She let us stay in line. Then turned down a bunch of people and then let another family stay. Not sure what her criteria was... but glad we made the cut!

Time to play!

Yes my Michael Jackson fans... that is a white rhinestone glove!

El received the MJ experience for the Wii. We have had quite a bit of dancing in the house. I am proud to say that I am currently the high score to beat. I was laughed at and mocked the entire time I danced... however, no one has come close to my score.
Eva received a Princess Tea Party Cupcake Kit. We made and decorated cupcakes with special edible transfers and paints. This was the decorating part. She is wearing her new sparkly skirt. It has been a hit with women of all ages!
Tea party is ready to go!!!
Tea... check
cupcakes... check
princesses... check
Next we are on to decorating a jewelry box.
Girl enjoys her crafts.
Ta-da!
It goes on to get A LOT more decoration:)

Merry Christmas!

I just love the excitement of Christmas morning!
Did he come?
Did he eat the cookies?
Yea! Santa came! (and ate the cookies)

Preschoolers and Christmas are the perfect combination.
Middle schoolers seem to enjoy as well.
Eva loves her pink and purple jewel box to decorate.
El's new case for her HP mini!
Littlest Pet Shop!
Percy Jackson movie! El can enjoy the movie and Eva can see her Maserati again!
El loves her comfy slippers!
However, after opening the Sea World Barbie, Eva ran over to me and gave me a big hug, and said, "Oh, Thank You Mommy"! So sweet.

The Christmas Crew in Houston

Eva was chillin' out waiting for the yummy dinner. She is "wrapped up like a taco". This was what El used to love to do at Rex and Jim's home.
Lelly came along for the festivities.
Jim shows off his Paulie's cookie while Fabene' hides from the camera! Anyone who knows Paulie's, knows just how delicious these cookies are. We had them along side some of Rex's homemade ice cream... mmmmmmm!
El's snowman did not last long after this shot was taken.
Rex and El finishing up at the table.
Ready for presents?
Yes!!! Eva loves her purple and pink sock monkeys!!
Santa Jim is ready to roll. (read, ready to spoil)
Gift cards:)
Pajama Jeans!
Too much Christmas has tuckered her out!
Eva and Lelly slept most the way home.
