Balloony Ball

 Here the girls are playing a game El and I made up out of boredom and a desire not to move too much.

 You sit facing your opponent feet touching.

Next you hit a balloon (volleyball style) back and forth.

If the balloon makes it past the feet it must be returned.

If it does not make it past the feet, you do not get the point.

Let's Go Fly a Kite...

 Eva received a kite for her birthday.

Luckily the weather soon cooperated and we

had a perfect kite flying day!

 She caught on pretty quickly.

 The princesses are flying high!

Does it get any better than this?

Nature!

 Spend any amount of time with Eva and you will learn all about the wonders of Nature.  

We spend a great deal of time going on nature walks and exploring all that is out there.

 I took this picture to show that our pond finally had water again.  It has been bone dry for about a year.

 Eva also enjoys the exercise equipment on the trails.

Especially the balance beam!

The Final Celebration

The last birthday celebration came on Friday. We no longer take cupcakes on a child's birthday. We have to wait until the last Friday of the month and celebrate all the birthdays for that month with just one cupcake. So I baked again and we had a school celebration for the last 15 minutes of the day. And that is the end of the 6th birthday.

Birthday #3

Today Eva gets to celebrate at school by wearing her Happy Birthday crown and being the line leader etc...

She looks upset in this picture but is really just concentrating on a wish:)

Gymnastics

 Eva has found a new passion... gymnastics.

 She really seems to enjoy all of the different areas.

 She is wearing the new outfit her big sis bought her for her birthday.

 Instead of tiring her out she seems to have more energy after going to class!

I must admit... she is pretty good at it too!

Birthday #2

Today is Eva's actual birthday.

She chose to go to the mall. So off we go to the Barton Creek Mall.

This is pre-meditation at it's finest. Every visit to the mall Eva asks to

go to Build-A-Bear. My reply is, "Not today, that is for special occasions."

Guess what? Today is a special occasion!

Eva chooses a Tabby Cat and names it Cutie.

Eva Turns Six!!!

Happy Birthday Princess Eva!!!

Eva chose to have a Rapunzel birthday party.

Since she also loves gymnastics, she had it a Rollie Pollies.

This concludes day One of the birthday celebration.

Eva seems to have the same gene as El that somehow allows them to take a birthday and turn it into a week long event!

Eva the Artist

Here is a snowman family Eva made in art class in school.

She also like create art on her white board in her room.

I missed getting a pictures of an amazing Christmas Tree she drew.

It had presents under it and after a few days the presents would open and she would draw the gift!

Happy Valentine's Day

Eva is at school with her Valentine's headband with heart antennae.

This is the class doing their "Web of Love".

The yarn was rolled to each students who then said what they love most and then rolled it on. By the end they had their web of love.

El's Valentines's Dance

As mentioned previously, El does not like to be photographed very often.

This was one of those occasions.

She is attending the Valentine's Dance.

After two days of shopping we bought one of the first dresses she tried on.

She found this one (the only on like it in the store) and several others. It is hard to decide when everything looks great on you (sadly I do not have that problem). We decided not to buy yet and to visit the mall next weekend because surely it will have many more options. All week I thought we should have bought it "just in case". The mall proved useless! We hurried back to Bee Cave to find the dress still there but on hold for someone else! We put a second hold on it luckily received the call later that night that it was hers.

Here she is coming down the stairs annoyed that I have camera in hand.

But isn't she lovely?

The Super Bowl!

As you can see Eva was cheering for the giants. The girls took the Giants and Todd chose that other team (that no one now remembers because they did not win)!

Eva and El disappeared for awhile and Eva came down ready to cheer on her winning team.

And cheer she did!
