Halloween Part Two

Katie is Rita Skeeter, El is Katniss Everdeen, and

Halloween Part One

Eva class had a celebration where they rotated 

around classrooms and did special activities.

I was able to peek in for a bit!  She is wearing 

her Runkle's Rainbows shirt!

 Katie came to my class to help with Pumpkin Math!

Our neighborhood had a hayride and party for the 

kids.  This is Eva and one of her besties Gabby on the 

hayride.  She dressed as an Olympic Gymnast for 

this event.

Kids Today...

This is what I find on my iPad after giving it

to Eva while in the car, or waiting for her sister, etc...

 She has photo apps to make all different sorts of

distortions to pictures she takes.  This is 3 of 

100's she will make.

Sometimes I would get a box of markers.

ROAD TRIP!

Eva and I took a girls trip to Dallas!  

We had to go to see a specialist for Eva's toe.

Unfortunately the biopsy did not give us as much

info as we would have liked.  So we went early and 

made a fun trip out of it!!!

 First stop... The American Girl Store!!!

 We stopped for lunch and realized we had landed at Baylor.

Guess this is her first College Road Trip:)

 Next stop... Chuck E Cheese!!!

She still says it is the best Chuck E Cheese ever!

We did have fun! She is so happy below because she

was HOME and I was AWAY.

Kids today...

Eva drew this on her iTouch for me. 

My class is called the Runkle's Rainbows.

She loves art in any form!

I had a box of Crayolas.

I was in crayon heaven the day 

I got the 64 color box with sharpener!!!

Go Longhorns!

El was out.  Katie is working.  We have no babysitter and UT is 

playing at home (AKA we have tickets).  So guess what Eva...

 your going to the game!

 So of course she had to wear her boots!  

And found a great dress to go with them.

 She loved the game.  Her only disappointment was when 

we found out the opposing teams color was red! Opps!

Not to worry... the boots say it all.

Concert Cupcakes

Todd and I (and Rex and Jim) are going 

to see Lyle Lovett at Austin City Limits.

El, babysitter extraordinaire, made 

cupcakes from scratch with her little sis!

The First Day of School

 It is the First Day of School!

For El going into 8th grade,

for Eva going into 1st grade,

and for me going into 5th grade!

Beautiful!

 Eva will have plenty to talk about!

The Next Day

 At first, she needed her Mommy close by.

Issy and Katie took good care of us!

How about that cool pink cast!

We all left notes and decorations!

Lelly helped to keep Eva happy during her time 

in recovery!

Poor Eva

Eva has to have surgery to assist in

diagnosing why her toe is so swollen.

(The Doc in Cleveland was mistaken

about everything being fine.)

 She handled it like a champ!

She brought her Hippo blanket along

with her.  The hospital staff did a good

job of making her feel at ease.

The only tough spot was the drive home.

She really felt sick.  Luckily she fell asleep

for a good portion of it.  She woke in Bee Cave 

and requested Subway.  So we picked up a

sandwich and took it home.  After some 

food and sleep she was doing much better!

Summer Fun with Katie

 Katie and Eva had some learning fun while I was 

getting ready for my new year of going back to 

teaching.  Above they went on a scavenger hunt 

through the neighborhood.  Below they made a

working volcano!!!!!

Below, all three girls were having fun

playing music and goofing around.
